How to analyze the timing of customer commands

Written by Milan Potrok , IGEL COMMUNITY MEMBER OF THE YEAR

To better understand when each custom-command section is executed in the IGEL OS start-up sequence.

I created a custom-ccmapper profile, which simply logs a message when each section is executed. This can be used to analyse the timing and help answer questions such as: Upon assigning a new profile in UMS and then rebooting, does it run on the next reboot or does it take 2 reboots?

Does reconnecting the network cable cause any custom-commands sections to get re-executed?I found the results interesting and it helped me to better understand the impact of putting a specific command in a specific section.

Hope somebody finds it fun or useful, or perhaps even both!
